We are a professional workers’ organization dedicated to promoting, protecting, and advancing the welfare, rights, professional development, and economic empowerment of maritime workers and allied professionals in Uganda and beyond.
As the voice of seafarers, inland water transport workers, marine engineers, ship operators, port workers, maritime trainers, fisheries professionals, offshore workers, and other allied professionals, MAPU works to build a safe, productive, skilled, and internationally competitive maritime workforce.
We collaborate with Government, employers, training institutions, development partners, and international organizations to strengthen the maritime sector and create decent employment opportunities for our members.
